Review of Killer's Kiss (1955) by Joel R — 31 Aug 2011
And you're going in in for the killer kiss, kiss for the kiss kiss... (Regina Spektor anyone?).
Anyway -- Killer's Kiss: The story is junk, and at only 1 hr and 7 min the running time drags, but even at the front of his career, Kubrick had amazing photographic sensibilities. In 1955, imagery like this was hard to come by, and it's to the benefit of everyone who enjoys any movie in existence that Stanley Lord-of-the-Moving-Picture Kubrick retained the things about his early career that were notable and abandoned those that weren't.
