Review of Killers (2010) by Bob S — 03 Oct 2011
Kutcher and Heigl star in this comedy about a hitman, Spencer, who doesnâ(TM)t exactly tell his new love and eventual bride, Jen, about his mysterious and dangerous past. I enjoyed the segments of the movie where the couple met and fell love and how Spencer was acclimating to his suburban everyman's life.
However, midway through, reasonable content ceased to exist and a cute romantic comedy was transformed into an excessive, gratuitous and hammed-up action flick. The climactic battle of the agency versus its hired gun reminded me of zombie films in which any character previously introduced serves an exaggerated dual-purpose as a bloodthirsty assassin.
