I will admit to having watched this in the background, it was more my Motherâ(TM)s choice to watch in the front room as I sat on my laptop, but I was still able to see and hear most of the film.

The film was overtly average, the plot was seemingly inspired by Mr and Mrs Smith, taking the idea of two assassins unknowingly marrying each other, and changing it to an assassin marrying a woman who knows nothing of his true past, and three years later, it backfires on him.

My problem was that for a film like this, the two main characters need to be not only interesting, but you have to care for them, in order for the plot to work. Now, Ashton Kutcher I was impressed by, he immersed himself into the role of an assassin, he really suited the role, looking very well built, and even when just holding the gun, he looked exactly right, his entire body language sold himself as an assassin.

However, I am not a fan of Katherine Heigl, her role mostly consisted of worrying about her husband still being in love with her, and being hysterical, which just made her annoying and unlikable. There was also the problem that the plot was very telegraphed, very cliched, which would have been okay if they had played with it, but instead it limped to a very easy ending that was resolved in a matter of minutes. I remember being disappointed with the easy ending of The Adjustment Bureau, but this was much worse.

The film is nothing special, you could watch it on a bored night without having to think at all, but donâ(TM)t go out of your way to watch it, honest.
