Review of Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988) by Kate H — 15 Nov 2008
Never trust clowns in movies. Ranging from clowns who enjoy hiding in sewers or under beds in the hope of devouring small children, to just psychotic types who you might find in Texas or prancing around Gotham.
They are a force to be reckoned with. Killer Klowns from outer space introduces a new place we never thought clowns would care to venture from, the universe. Arriving in a circus tent spaceship the clowns go about their business turning most of the towns inhabitants into cotton candy cocoons, which they then using a giant vacuum cleaner transport back to their ship.
It is up to a group of the towns teenagers to put an end to this ridiculous rampage, which they do in style no doubt with their friends ice-cream truck. This film is ridiculous, not only does it have some of the most varied clown killings (acid pies, popcorn guns, posing as love o grams) but the effects are not half bad considering its budget and when it was made.
A thoroughly satisfying B Movie.
