Review of Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988) by Daniel W — 28 Oct 2009
A small town is invaded by alien clowns bent on chaos, with a desire to cocoon the locals in cotton candy and harvest their blood. You know, just like regular clowns, but with uglier heads.
A B-movie cult classic, KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE is a funny idea that, while hit or miss, is still kinda fun. Some gags, like the shadow puppet or the balloon animal scenes play much better than others. Not a GREAT flick, but what does that matter when it's 2AM?
Also, I wonder if Royal Dano, who played the old farmer, ever pulled the "I worked with Hitchcock, dammit!" on the set.
