Review of Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988) by The D — 01 Jun 2008

This is a mildly amusing B-movie that delivers only what you'd expect. In that sense, it is not a failure - I'm sure it reached it's set goals as a movie production.

We follow some twenty-somethings throughout the adventure, and see them go up against not only the Killer Klowns, but the police force as well. The plot follows it's own "logic" throughout, and doesn't short-change the viewer too badly - as so many of these films do. It's comical style is slightly refreshing also.

The innovative and laborious processes of death inflicted by the alien clowns are fairly surprising and amusing. You don't feel too much sympathy for their numerous victims either - they are typically irritating characters.

Oh, and the old cop guy is pretty funny, with his horrible view of todays (1980's) youth.
