Review of Killer Joe (2012) by Antonio N — 08 Aug 2013
Obviously shot in hard nipple land. Dotty (Juno Temple) is cute as shit and rocking a hot fucking body you get to see lots of. The other characters are quite endearing, although I don't know how realistic they are. Do these kinds of people really exist? Killer Joe comes across as a pretty sympathetic guy, but has serious psychopathic tendencies (I guess that's why he's a killer). In a more philosophical sense I think Joe is supposed to represent vengeance and Dotty is supposed to represent justice (I think).
- This is undoubtedly the best role Matthew McConaughey has ever played.
- The story takes some surprising and original twists, which makes it worth the watch.
- I also like how they tore Jim Varney from the grave to play Ansel.
- Killer dialogue.
- The end scene was highly disturbing, but had me laughing none the less, just because it was so weird I guess.
