Review of Killer Joe (2012) by Omar G — 09 Mar 2013
You either going to love or hate this movie. I don't think there's a gray area. It's based on a play by Tracy Letts, "Killer Joe" is darkly funny, sexually charged, ultra violent and almost claustrophobic.
All of these elements well presented and laid out by Mr. Friedkin. Last, but not least, the performances by Mr. McConaughey and Ms. Temple are absolutely mesmerizing and commanding. This is probably Mr.
McConaughey's best performance ever, or at least one of his top three. Highly recommended, but it has a NC-17 rating, so please mind the children around the TV while watching it.
