This film reminded me a lot of a Blue Velvet for a redneck Texas crowd. It's creepy, perverted, violent, and just at times, straight up insane. McConaughey is mesmerizing as Joe. He has a southern charm that he can drop at any moment and become a scary psychopath hell bent on fueling movie goers nightmares for years to come.
If you like twisted, out there, dark comedies with a hyper violence sense about them and a southern drawl spilling out of everyone's mouths than you will like Killer Joe. Everyone else...should probably stay away from this film.
