Review of Killer Elite (2011) by Ben D — 28 Jul 2012
A not very interesting, plodding thriller that has some nice scenery, a couple of bland action sequences and a plot that is so daft it is unbelievable. Despite claims to authenticity in the opening titles, this is a work of fiction.
The film even contradicts itself - the Arab wants the killers to take statements of guilt from the men they kill before they kill them - and they do this for the first two before giving up on that and instead to decide to kill the third in the most implausible manner.
How this film managed to gain a cast of this calibre will remain the films biggest mystery.
