Review of Killer Ape (1953) by James H — 04 Mar 2010
The Jungle Jim film series were extremely low budget, and it is very evident in the quality of the production. It's basically a older Weismuller Tarzan, this time he is in safari clothes rather than a loin cloth.
Poor art direction, the score is too much. It's not without it's charms. The monkey is a real ham and the pacing is good.
