Review of Kill Your Idols (2012) by Zoran S — 29 Apr 2009
This isn't the greatest documentary; it breaks down especially when it tries to focus on present New York bands working in a "No Wave" tradition. (Though I did like that the documentary allows people like Lydia Lunch and J.
G. Thirlwell to criticize the crappy nature of bands like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs), Still, there is some great performance footage here of early Swans, DNA, and Teenage Jesus and the Jerks.
