The crackling chemistry between Daniel Radcliffe and Dane DeHaan make this Beat Generation story slightly less run-of-the-mill, with a poetic tone that matches it's expressionistic period. The performances are enthusiastic all around, Radcliffe's in particular, only Michael C.
Hall coming out a little weak. It does slow down a bit in the final act, with a climax that is a little lackluster, but it's still a worthy tale and a wonderful departure for Radcliffe from 8 years of wizards and witches.
