"Kill Your Darlings" is a good indie film, but not a great one. In fact, as far as movies about the beat era, I prefer "On the Road" knowing that they are 2 different times about 2 different time periods.

Daniel Radcliffe does a good job. I never once felt like I was watching Harry Potter. However, 2 actors performances were a little too stylized and stiff and too much. One was the killer and the other was the guy with the glasses that talked through clinched teeth. Michael C Hall was up recognizable and comes across like a younger red headed Philip Seymour Hoffman.

I didn't think or like the fact that the movie started at the end and then jumped back to lead up to it. Other than the fact that the movie references life is like a circle, the movie didn't need to start at the end.

ALL IN ALL, YOU SHOULD RENT THIS STURY BASED ON A TRUE LIFE MURDER MYSTERY INVOLVING THE BEAT ERA ARTISTS when they just becoming who they became.
