Review of Kill Your Darlings (2013) by Daniel G — 25 Feb 2015
A decent exploration of the Beat generation and World War II student culture within New York City. The cast is superb, the costumes are stunning, and the beginning energy of the film is great. However the film slows down to a near crawl by the end of the second act, weighed down by proteinous dialogue and meaningless one liners.
So much of is left unfinished, and unresolved. The story being told simply becomes weak and shallow by the end, despite the talent of the actors involved. Worth checking out, but not worth revisiting.
