Review of Kill Theory (2009) by Kristin R — 14 Apr 2012
Kill Theory is one of the better After Dark Horrorfest films since Clive Barker's Dread. This is a really nice film and it has a plot about a group of College friends celebrating their High School Graduation in an isolated cabin where they all have fun.
But as they continue to spend the night in the cabin they suddenly discovered that they are being stalked by an unidentified killer and he made a couple of rules for them that the group must kill each other and if one remains standing then he won't kill that person but if all of them are alive they all die.
The group must think of something before they all die. Like I said Kill Theory is one of After Dark's best movies since Clive Barker's Dread. This film has the right feel and it is full of suspense and tension on every scene and the film is also full of jump scares and this movie is seriously worth a try for various Horror fans.
What's great about Kill Theory is that the film has a really nice tension and suspense on every scene and this movie does a unique job on building the tension on the entire film. The concept of Kill Theory is really neat and well made and the concept really fits well for the movie and it makes the movie look good.
This film is really similar to Saw because the way the film looks like is really similar to Saw and it has the right feel and everything was perfect from start to finish and it makes the movie look really good.
What I also enjoy about Kill Theory is that the tension is done in a different style and I personally like how the tension worked in this movie. The way the tension was used in this film is really done in a different style that makes me want to watch more and I like that idea so far.
What I also enjoy about Kill Theory is that the film is also full of incredible gore effects and the graphic violence is also neat in the film. Both the Gore and Graphic violence are neat for the movie and I seriously enjoy a couple of gore scenes in this film and there are lots of scenes that I enjoy watching in this movie.
The scene where Freddie gets stabbed in the eye was a really gruesome and graphic death scene and that scene really got me and it was really gory and graphic and I think that's the nastiest death scene in the movie.
I also enjoy the shovel scene in Kill Theory where the girl kills the guy with a shovel that scene is really gruesome and graphic plus gory as well and it is also one of the most intense scenes in Kill Theory so far.
Oh and I also enjoy the scene where Carlos' body gets rigged in a big trap that the killer made that was also an intense scene in the movie so far. The main problem with Kill Theory is that the film's pace is too slow because the entire film is too slow paced from start to finish even when the group or the killer isn't doing anything yet in the film I just didn't like the idea that it was too slow paced from start to finish which I didn't like.
What I also didn't like about Kill Theory is that the film is also too lengthy on every scene, too predictable and too many faults on a couple of scenes. The other thing I didn't like about Kill Theory is that the film is full of cliches and there's too many cliches in this movie along with a couple of problems that are seriously too much which I seriously got annoyed with.
The acting is great all of the casts did a good job with their performances in the film and they seriously did a great job with their performances in the movie even Agnes Bruckner from The Woods who was a bit more serious than the rest of the casts with their performances so far the acting is nice.
Director Chris Moore seriously did a good job with his work on this movie along with Writer Kelly C. Palmer and the scrip by Kelly C. Palmer is really well written and Chris Moore seriously did a good job with his work on this movie along with writer Kelly C.
Palmer and I'm hoping too see more of Chris Moore's work in the future for the Horror genre. Overall Kill Theory gets an 8/10 because this movie is full of suspense and tension with lots of jump scares and amazing gore effects and graphic violence but the film is too lengthy, too predictable, too slow paced, too many faults and too many cliches on every scene which I seriously didn't like at all in the movie.
This movie is one of After Dark's best films since Clive Barker's Dread.
