Review of Kill the Irishman (2011) by Daisy M — 02 May 2011
Kill the Irishman, remind me of a famous quote of Martin Scorsese's mafia movie, GoodFellas, "As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster. This way Danny Greene was portrait in Jonathan Hensleigh crime mafia movie about his life and the way he climbed himself up to become Cleveland most wanted mafia.
Back in the 1970s, Cleveland was known as bomb city as several bombs were detonated and many mobsters were wiped out.The cast was loaded with good actors eager to prove they were still kicking, from Val Kilmer as Danny's cop to Vincent D'Onofrio as an Italian Mafia and Christopher Walken who aged a lot, as sneaky Jewish mob.
"Kill the Irishman" was a straightforward, period crime story. If you are interested in these mafia stories, this might be something for you.
