Review of Kill the Irishman (2011) by Chuck N — 30 Apr 2011
Decent B-Movie, that wants to be Good Fellas, but a director could certainly have worse aspirations! The Good? Good 70's sets and costumes, some stylish direction, and cameos galore by cinema gangsters, and character actors from every decent TV series in recent memory.
The Bad? Some clunky dialogue, ham acting, and one too many slow motion "I just killed someone and I'm walking away like a bad ass" moments, ha ha, but c'mon, you expect that in genre film.
The Ugly? Ray Stevenson's [HBO's Rome] mug is so hard in this film, he'd turn you to stone. In this genre, that's a good thing!
