Review of Kill the Irishman (2011) by Swagat R — 08 May 2011
Now this was a pretty good looking movie. The cast of Christopher Walken and Val Kilmer got my attention initially. But ultimately, it was Ray Stevenson who walks away with all the accolades. His portrayal of an mobster Irishman in the Italian ruled American mafia of the 70s couldn't have been any way better.
The Danny Greene story is truly a multinational drama. Though I'm still left with the feeling that the movie could've been better. It felt a little stretched. No matter, Ray Stevenson's act is definitely a style benchmark for me.
3/5. Can watch, if you can appreciate.
