Review of Kill the Irishman (2011) by Al S — 05 Jul 2011
This is your pretty run-of-the-mill mobster flick, which is unfortunate, given the cast. (C'mon now, you got Walken! Make it worth his while!) The story and structure just wasn't too interesting in the end.
I realize there's only so much that you can do with a true life story, but you've got to make it worth the viewing time. (Anyone can typecast some big italians and have them barate each other.
) I'm mostly disappointed that Ray Stevenson's BA portrail of Greene was accompanied by yawns. All in all, interesting person, boring story.
