Review of Kill the Irishman (2011) by Shane F — 08 Aug 2011
I'm not sure this really breaks any new ground in the crime/mafia genre, but nevertheless this was an entertaining look at a real life union boss/criminal/arrogant irishman fighting against the mob.
great role for stevenson, walken is amusing in a few scenes, but it's sad to see what kilmer has become. nice score, and I thought the movie would have been even stronger had it expanded on several of the irish themes it touches on.
