Review of Kill the Irishman (2011) by Jesse O — 28 Mar 2012
Solid mob film, although it didn't really bring much new to the genre, telling a familiar rise and fall mob story (of course based on a true story). The one thing that does set this film somewhat apart from simply being an adequate mob film is a great performance by Ray Stevenson as the title Irishman.
Mob films often have ruthless characters, but Stevenson dominates the screen as an absolutely riveting tough guy. It's nothing brilliant, but will suffice if you needing a mob film fix.
