Review of Kill Switch (2008) by Tom G — 28 Feb 2009
Another oddball DTV effort from Seagal that would make sense on a piece of paper but on a screen looks like someone's being chopping out frames. Lots of frames. It's a basic serial killer flick times two as he hunts out two different killers.
However, in the hands of this DTV crew we have pointless subplots and brilliantly yet painfully funny fight scenes which involve Seagal and his double delivering a lot of fists to various people. In case you blink, the film is nice enough to show you the action again.
...and again...and again....and again....then continue on. I watched this on blu-ray so the fun part of these scenes are really when Seagal vanishes and his slimmer, lighter haired double takes to the scene.
Also someone forgot to do pick ups as pretty much every cut to Seagal during said scenes, he's just standing there, staring at someone who isn't even there. Splicing more Seagal inbetween punches just to let you know he's still about.
Seagologist studies need only apply but really it is for all the wrong reasons. Come on Seagal, JCVD is doing something better....time for you to get your act together.
