Review of Kill Switch (2008) by Patrick S — 02 May 2009
It starts off awesomely bad with laughably bad action scenes including one where Steven Seagal is chasing the bad guy in a bar but innocent people are in the way so he punches them in the face so they can be out of the way. Then it grows tedious when nothing happens for a while, despite Steven Seagal finding the evil guy and nearly hammering him to death, which is much less awesome than it sounds like. Then the ending is like one big Fuck You to a lot of things, I don't know what they are but it is.
And this is really sad cause it comes off the surprisingly introspective and good Pistol Whipped where Seagal used his own voice, kicked his own ass and shared a few scenes with Lance Henriksen. But here he's back to having someone dubbed his own voice, which is jarring cause Seagal uses a horrible black-cent and the dubbed voice is less horrible. The extremely obvious fight doubles are back and really obvious here. And Issac Hayes just isn't as good as Lance Henriksen.
