Review of Kill List (2011) by Lewis E — 29 Jan 2015
This should have remained what it was for the first hour or so, a unique take of the hit-man genre. 'Kill List' offers a compelling personal perspective of two morally complex hit-men, adopting a slow burn narrative which lures you into a false sense of security before real hard-hitting violence kicks in.
Unfortunately, it's ruined by a bizarre ending that accentuates its religious cult undertones. Did they really have to throw that twist in at the end? Disappointing.
