One of the most oppressive cinematic experiences I've ever had. Intense only begins to describe the feeling of watching this film.
The third act is a bit of a let down as it tips a little too far over the edge into Wicker Man territory and the "twist" ending is entirely predictable but for the most part these are forgivable problems.
An oppressive, violent and deeply unpleasant film to experience, but experience it you should.
Just don't expect to want to see it again in a hurry.
