Review of Kill List (2011)

By Owen Gleiberman (3,271) for Entertainment Weekly (6,953) on 15 Feb 2012

It's all very sub-Tarantino showy and empty - at least, until the head-scratching climax, which tries to be Eyes Wide Shut, The Wicker Man,…

Review of Kill List (2011)

By Sara Michelle Fetters (1,688) for MovieFreak.com (1,674) on 12 Feb 2012

He pokes and prods the audience, tilts at them sideways, he and fellow writer Amy Jump going out of their way to make things as obtuse and…

Review of Kill List (2011)

By Susan Granger (2,214) for SSG Syndicate (1,551) on 10 Feb 2012

Eerie, sinister and floundering, it careens to a brutally bizarre, preposterous conclusion that's definitely not for the squeamish…

Review of Kill List (2011)

By Paul Chambers (522) for CNNRadio (136) on 09 Feb 2012

Kill List starts as an excruciatingly slow family drama. Many action mavens might fold before the second act, and that would be a shame…

Review of Kill List (2011)

By Scott Tobias (1,684) for NPR (1,713) on 06 Feb 2012

Following up his acclaimed debut feature Down Terrace, a gangster drama that also mixed genre shocks with dark comedy and explosive family…

Review of Kill List (2011)

By Andy Klein (675) for Christian Science Monitor (3,788) on 03 Feb 2012

For much of this second film from British writer/director Ben Wheatley, the style seems tightly, even coldly, controlled, as it knocks things…

Review of Kill List (2011)

By Todd Jorgenson (1,852) for Cinemalogue (704) on 03 Feb 2012

There's an intriguing premise here that derails into a repetitive exercise in brutality…

Review of Kill List (2011)

By Kyle Smith (1,916) for New York Post (6,650) on 03 Feb 2012

Review of Kill List (2011)

By Andrew O'hehir (1,324) for Salon.com (2,725) on 02 Feb 2012

There's no disputing the ingenuity and even the brilliance of this mind-bending mashup, which begins as a gritty recession-era marriage drama…

Review of Kill List (2011)

By Stephanie Zacharek (2,333) for Movieline (883) on 02 Feb 2012

Wheatley drops enough unnerving bread crumbs in the first two-thirds to leave you wondering where the hell he's headed, and even the big finale…

Review of Kill List (2011)

By Joe Neumaier (1,294) for New York Daily News (5,623) on 02 Feb 2012

It would be easy to say that the final minutes of this mixed-up thriller make everything before it meaningless, but that would indicate the…

Review of Kill List (2011)

By Betsy Sharkey (695) for Los Angeles Times (12,977) on 02 Feb 2012

This is a far more brutal film than Wheatley's first, 2009's Down Terrace…

Review of Kill List (2011)

By Jeannette Catsoulis (1,537) for The New York Times (9,847) on 02 Feb 2012

That assured style is the spackle that holds Kill List together: when the plot doglegs into insanity, and the characters follow suit, this…

Review of Kill List (2011)

By Edward Douglas (1,395) for ComingSoon.net (2,031) on 01 Feb 2012

Harking back to great British horror classics like The Wicker Man with a similar level of absolute terror in the last act…

Review of Kill List (2011)

By Alison Willmore (681) for The A.V. Club (5,644) on 01 Feb 2012

While the sum of Kill List comes across as less than its parts, it offers some strikingly nightmarish imagery and a feel that's reminiscent…

Review of Kill List (2011)

By Chuck Wilson (418) for Village Voice (8,525) on 31 Jan 2012

Brutal and bloody and utterly unnerving, thanks in no small measure to Jim Williams's brilliant score, which is filled with strings so taut,…

By Christy Lemire (1,262) for Associated Press (1,685) on 31 Jan 2012

Review of Kill List (2011)

By Jaime N. Christley (95) for Slant Magazine (8,298) on 30 Jan 2012
