Review of Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004) by Edward C — 31 Oct 2013
There's not as much sword slicing action and brutal fighting, but Quentin Tarantino's awesome style and assured direction makes Kill Bill Volume 2 a bloody good second parter. Uma Thurman is brilliant as always, but this time there's a sense of danger and threat always looming around her character which kind of makes her feel more human instead of a super skilled fighter, but when she fights it's epic and groundbreaking.
There's a lot more dialogue filled scenes but they are so compelling and fun to watch, especially as they close off other parts of the narrative leading up to the final confrontation between The Bride and Bill.
This is a great movie, filled with the striking violence seen in the first, and Daryl Hannah is absolutely fantastic with the more screen time she has!
