I was actually a bit surprised that I dug this movie so much. I'm usually not a huge Tarantino fan, but Kill Bill just brims with such style and originality that I couldn't stop myself from enjoying this crazy revenge flick.

The only problem I ever had watching the movie was the middle, which wasn't bad, per say, but just not half as interesting or amazing as the introduction and conclusion of the film. I liked the vibe, but could do without all the back story; it was great, but to me it felt forced and took away from the momentum it was keeping during the first portion of the film.

As the main heroine, Uma Thurman delivers a performance nearly on par with her work in Pulp Fiction (and by that I mean it's excellent), with her battles and banter with other characters providing equal enjoyment.

Likewise, the supporting cast is great, even if most of them don't get a whole lot of screen time before they meet their demise. But the real star of this movie is Quentin Tarantino, whose screenplay is refreshing, unpredictable, and wholly original; the fact that he can make exchanges so natural yet so entertaining will always be beyond me, and I think that's why Kill Bill is better than your average revenge story.

Can't wait to see what part two has in store.
