Review of Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003) by Austin G — 10 Apr 2013
Completely unrealistic and brutally sadistic, but utterly, utterly entertaining, Kill Bill features stylish direction from Quentin Tarantino and great performances from Uma Thurman and Lucy Liu, even if it's plot is not as developed as other Tarantino classics.
It's tense atmosphere and almost limitless charisma greatly enrich it's brisk, exciting action which harks back to the days when CGI wasn't necessary. Ultimately a pleasure to watch.
