Review of Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003) by Bryan M — 22 Jul 2013
This movie is absurdly violent, yet it never fails to be funny, thrilling, and suspenseful. The film has your basic revenge plot, of course, with Quentin Tarantino's genre-blending style. This movie is full of style, with each character being more absurd than the other.
Tarantino is the only one who can make gruesome killings entertaining and funny. There were moments that seemed a little darker than they should have been, but this complaint is not much of a complaint at all.
Whether you are a fan of Tarantino or not, you will enjoy this film.
