Review of Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003) by Luke G — 26 Oct 2013
I lost my Tarantino-ginity to this movie, and I must say I was not disappointed. The Gore and insane amount of violence isn't just there to be there, it serves a purpose: to personify the ugliness and emotional deprivation of revenge.
I might go as far to say that Kill Bill is more than just a piece of entertainment, it is a statement about humanity's need for closure, and the carnage that we must face to obtain it.
