Review of Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003) by Sooty M — 16 Nov 2013
For all the carnage and non-therapeutic bloodletting resulting from Uma Thurman's fury, Quentin Tarantino manages to deliver a stylistic piece of work. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned and Tarantino pulls it off with a combination of Persepolis-like animated scenes and balletic fight sequences that are further enhanced by a kickass soundtrack.
Props for style while the backstory could use some work.
