Review of Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003) by Cruz F — 25 Jul 2014
Big fan of the combat scenes but like with all Tarantino films I found myself seeking more compact exposition and less meandering. I've read other reviews of his work that seem to be in-line with my reactions.
He creates some stunning visuals, great cinematics, and snappy dialogue, but it all runs just a bit long. The film would have made a great, Kick-Ass style graphic novel. Come to think of it, this movie obviously inspired Kick-Ass and Hit Girl, did it not?
