Kill Bill is rarely mentioned any more, but it was a film ahead of its time. Every actor is thoroughly crazy and well-acted. Tarantino not only directs an old-school revenge film, but weaves in culture and theater styles unique to Japan! I felt like the film was definitely well adapted from paper to cinema. From the film's very beginning the film grasps you, and plants its seeds of redemption. Uma Thurman is an all-time legend, and gives a stellar performance. Kill Bill's four act structure is beautifully sequenced, switching from settings such as El Paso, TX, Tokyo, Japan, and Pasadena, CA. Each mise en scène piques your interest and builds suspense as to what to expect from Uma's next target. (And yes, this assassin works down a death list).

The resolution was especially satisfying, and seeing her enact her revenge during the film was like turning through the pages of a pop-up book. Kill Bill is a masterpiece in its own right, and I highly recommend watching it. Highly motivational, upbeat, and leaves you with an adrenaline rush.

Post Notice: I am a fifteen year old watching the film, and I must've seen it one thousand times. I'm not a horror junkie. Must see film of the century. 10/10.
