Review of Kikujiro (1999) by Shawn P — 31 May 2007

Very fun film. It's about a young boy taking a trip with his grandmother's friend in order to track down his mother. It's a bit of an off beat road movie. Its sad at times but mostly just completely random and occasionally pretty funny.

I had a good time with it, but it does run a little longer than a movie like this probably should and I found Beat Takeshi's character to be sometimes a little over the top... still though if you're in the mood for a slightly different but good road movie I would give this one a rental.
