A beautiful film from one of the true masters of modern cinema. A road movie about a Yakuza who is reluctantly assigned the task of helping a boy find his real mother. Kitano has shown that he is an immensely diverse artist on a number of occasions and this time he blends gangster film with bittersweet drama.
