Review of Kidulthood (2006) by Riyadh H — 27 Aug 2009
The one thing this film is missing is a really stong central narrative. However, this film is brilliant. I could use everything that has been said about this film before but I'll try and refrain. Think Shane Meadows but in London.
Powerful and disturbing, if you've never experienced London life or any inner city school atmos you'll be horrified. If you have, you'll find yourself nodding throughout with a grim stare.
It's what "Skins" should have been, ironically Nicholas Hoult has a small role.
