Kids is one of the most uncomfortable film-watching experiences I've ever had, as it certainly doesn't hold back on its subject matter The plot follows a kid named Telly - a sociopathic little bastard who enjoys going around deflowering young virgins, stealing, engaging in acts of violence, drinking, and doing drugs (Along with his friend Casper).

Meanwhile, one of the girls Telly deflowered, Jennie, learns that even though she has only ever had sex with Telly, she has been infected with H.I.V. and tries to track him down. It's a film about the dysfunctional lives of its characters, but also a statement about the strange, dangerous world of youth dominated by hormones and impulses.

It's a film that doesn't hold back, including uglier aspects. But, it's a well made film with important statements about adolescence showing the uncomfortable truths. It hits hard and has no intention of sanitizing itself.
