Not that shocking more disgusting in places. Very depressing and despite Sevigny's performance most of the other cast bring the film down. Fitzpatrick especially is so annoying you just want to kick the crap out of him through-out.
The ending makes the film even more depressing, think straight version of those 80's gay AIDS movies, take Prozac first then enjoy.
