Review of Kids (2011) by Jsmn G — 28 Mar 2010
Such a truthful, ugly and beautiful movie. Myself being a teenager, I was disturbed, but I understood this movie. It happens, especially when people are not informed about things. This is amazing that when I was 4 this movie was created, but it still made sense and resonated in my pre-teens, and kids in my middle school were fucking when they didn't even hit puberty. I like to call this movie the "what could happen instead of 16 and pregnant".
I don't understand how people call Larry Clarke "perverted" when all he's doing is capturing the true life of kids.
This is beautiful and haunting.
