I CAN'T BELIEVE this film has a an average rating of 5/10 or 49%. Honestly, you give this 49% and Happiness (1998) 85%? This is AN EXCELLENT film. A Lars Von Trier style look at NYC if you're broke and a teenager.

Man, America must just hate an honest look at itself. It's well directed, well acted by a cast of unknowns at the time, many of whom (most notably Sevigny, Fitzpatrick, and Dawson) have gone on to highly esteemed careers.

You're an idiot if you don't see the inherent value and superiority of this film to many others. Even if you don't like the subject matter.
