Review of Kickboxer: Vengeance (2016) by Lee S — 04 Sep 2016
This may be one of the lowest scores I have given, but the fact the original was so good, and this was so bad, forced my hand. I was looking forward to this, because van damme had a hand in it, but all hope was lost from the first 30 seconds of the movie.
the original had spiritual guidance, a spiritual journey, and mental awakenings, and had real adversity and purpose. this movie had none of that, it only had the physical aspect, even the training was all over the place and had no rhyme or reason.
this is just another example of a failed remake, with a failed plot line, failed acting (even van damme's voice was replaced with someone elses for 70% of the movie), and I hate to say it, but compared to the first, this had terrible fight scenes.
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF CINEMA HOLLYWOOD, PLEASE STOP REMAKING MOVIES!!!! do not see this film, unless its free.
