Review of Kick-Ass (2010) by Mahmoud S — 04 Jun 2013
Kick-Ass?? Seriously? What kind of nickname is that? It's not a parody movie, it's not about some superheroes that were picked out of some garbage comic book, then what the hell is it??? I'll tell what it is without spoilers or some bad reviewing; this is a movie that was easily underrated even though it was fairly rated.
Why is that? Because this movie has a point, and lots of people think of it as a corny movie, well it's not. This movie should have been listed among the best movies ever, because its point remains universal and also abandoned.
Why doesn't anybody out of the 7 billion people living on this planet believe in heroes, like Batman or Green Arrow or whatever hero that is almost like them? Well actually there maybe one person who thought about it and its Dave our teenager who might just gain some credit by being something like them.
The first scene reflects what really people think of being some kind of a superhero, because they don't believe in them. So believe and do just like Dave did, he's the prototype that the movie is trying to exhale without any unrealistic boundaries.
Mathew Vaughn did a really good job to deliver the message with a good sense of humor darkened by some action-drama plot. The music also gets you in an intense revenge-gripping mood which makes the movie even more entertaining.
