Review of Kick-Ass (2010) by Jesus C — 20 Jul 2014
Kick-Ass, based on the graphic novel by the same name, exemplifies how great a film-text separation can really be. Those who are fans of the comic may be a tad disappointed from the detraction from the original story, but it's a worthy experience nonetheless.
Exposing the true, dark, grit that is real-world crime, this film takes on the task of giving us all a reality check, right into the boards.
With young talent driving the helm of this film, Kick-Ass falls short of even coming close to being a disappointment.
While romantically portraying how "Kick Ass" it can be to don the outfit of a masked crusader, one wonders if it's really worth the risk in the long run, leaving us wondering if all hope truly is lost.
Paired with the grossly evident talents of Matthew Vaughn, this film has got you on the ropes all the way through... asking for more! Don't waste another minute and see Kick-Ass, today!
