Review of Kick-Ass 2 (2013) by Miles R — 05 Feb 2014

When you walk into the theatre that is labeled: "Kick Ass 2", what do you expect? This movie was the best, if not, the ONLY option this storyline had to work with. I'm not sure what weird expectations certain critics had but all of mine were more than fullfilled.

Violent? Yes. Perverse? Somewhat. Touching? Yes. As much as the first film. Real? Yes and no. This is a storyline about REAL people being superheroes. Of course I'm not expecting absolute realism but, for Christ's sake, (sorry Colonel), this is a fantasy epic.

I'll cut this short and simply say: I loved it and don't over analyze things meant for entertainment purposes. This movie had everything the first movie had and more. Completely legitimate sequel to an out of this world film.
