Was this as good as the original? Not by a long shot, but it was the characters that really made the movie for me. I can look past some of the questionable plotting, and uneven tone because the actors, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Chloe Grace Mortez especially, made their characters compelling.
I enjoyed the Justice Forever group, I enjoyed the MFer's villains, and I liked seeing their eventual confrontation. The first Kick-Ass was a breath of fresh air for the super hero genre, and this one sadly could not live up to the original, but that didn't stop me from enjoying every bit of it.
