Lack of boredom and some genuine fun - mostly courtesy of Chloë Moretz - can't hide the fact that Kick-Ass 2 pales in comparison to its predecessor while reaching a level of nastiness that not only lacks the original's charm but oftentimes descends into blatant gross-out territory.
