Review of Key Largo (1948) by Chris B — 25 Dec 2007
One of those movies that are so well done it's almost unrealistic. The ending boat climax is a stellar ensemble of suspense and cruel acting by Edward G. Robinson. Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart prove once again that their chemisty is unbeatable, probably my favorite on screen couple.
I wish that there were more crime films like this that combine drama, suspense and action all in one big production. If not John Huston's best, definately up there.
