Review of Key Largo (1948) by Philip S — 11 Mar 2009
"Smart thriller"?! Hardly. Sure, older films tend to have simpler plots (that's what we tend to like about them), but this one was just weak. Tried to be a tense suspense film, but fails miserably.
Just not interesting. Bogart is passable, Bacall is useless - only Robinson saves this film from being a complete failure. Interesting but wasted cast.
